Frustrations, disappointments and responsibility…
I have always said there's a difference between responses and reactions; responses are thought out and carefully implement, while reactions tend to be caused by triggers and create a feeling of familiarity from an event in the past, or a pattern of events. We do not feel safe and definitely uncomfortable, so one is likely to receive stimulus that would challenge them to behave in a way that they have in the past. However, if someone has been working to overcome reactions like this, with accountability and support they will be able to respond accordingly. Discipline is something else that is required in order to fulfill the response appropriately. One must have, previously, done so and been able to develop a tolerance that would become necessary to avoid complications and communication in a return to previous lifestyle what character trait that is negative! Positive outcomes must be obvious, in order for the individual to progress in this forward movement. Often times,, it would seem easier to return to old habits. A careful study of addictive behavior and positive experiences in recovery could give greater understanding in this area. When something is removed from one's life, it must be replaced by something else.
