I'm going back to Cali...
Life & Times of Ramiro...We arrived on a Friday, 'Ma (my wife's grandmother passed away a day later. We had her funeral a few days later and offered a great tribute/celebration in her honor. Lots of her friends, people whose lives were impacted by her ministry came and filled the funeral home. The rest of the week was spent cleaning up the room, changing furniture around, comforting family and remembering her fondly. Talked to quite a few friends who reached out and touched someone, when they found out about the circumstances. I have also prayed during this time to deal with my own sadness about missing family and friends back home, being in the windy city made me flashback...Then I asked the Lord for some peace and discernment about the future. My 2 year old daughter was saying that 'Ma was sick and gonna be with Jesus, after the passing, she said 'Ma is with Jesus and isn't wondering where she is at anymore. I was supposed to be back yesterday, but they cancelled my flight at O'Hare and I waited in line for 2 hours...When I finally reached the check in counter, I told them I would wait another day, but wanted to leave earlier if at all possible. I got in this afternoon, picked up my car, mail and had lunch with my good friend who graciously watched my apartment while I was gone. It was good to see him. I decided to leave a journal entry on my blog and relax a little before my 3 day conference begins tomorrow. I hope I will have more encouraging news to share after that. Goodnight for now.
